The strongest individual contributor doesn’t automatically become the leader a team needs — and that’s not a failing, it’s a gap nobody is trained for. The instincts that earned the promotion are often the same ones that cap how far a team can go. My work is making those patterns visible, and learnable.
Most leadership training hands you a model and wishes you luck. The model makes sense in the room and changes nothing on Monday — because the thing getting in the way isn’t a missing framework. It’s the patterns you lead from automatically, under pressure, without noticing.
The work I do starts there: understanding the patterns that drive how a person leads, making them visible, and changing the response in the moments that actually matter — the hard conversation, the decision you keep taking back, the urge to step in and do it yourself. Less content, more change.

Early in life, each of us builds a box — coping patterns that kept us safe, capable, and in control. They worked. For many leaders, they’re exactly what earned the promotion. But the walls that once protected you eventually become the ceiling you keep hitting: the control that guarantees quality also guarantees the team never owns it; the drive that made you excellent makes it hard to let anyone else carry the load.
You can’t lead your way out of a box you can’t see. So the work is making the patterns visible first — then choosing differently, on purpose, under pressure. Not a personality overhaul. The key to a door you’ve been standing in front of.
Grounded in the iEQ9. The work starts with the most rigorous Enneagram-based assessment available — a precise read on the patterns driving how someone leads, not a generic “leadership style” label.
Built for the moment of pressure. Awareness alone changes nothing. The work is converting it into a different response in the exact moments where the old pattern usually wins.
Coaching, not curriculum. The frameworks aren’t the missing piece. What’s missing is someone working the live patterns with you over time, until the new response is the automatic one.
Where you start depends on whether you’re growing as a leader, or growing a team. Not sure? That’s worth a conversation.
One-on-one coaching
For a manager, director, or executive whose next level is a leadership step, not a skills step - working the patterns underneath how they lead.
Team development and cohesion
For a capable group that isn't clicking - working the team as one system; the trust, the friction, and the patterns no offsite ever resolves.
Curious where the assessments fit?

I’m Natalie Settele, founder of Lighthouse Coaching. I spent more than 25 years inside and alongside demanding, high-stakes organizations before building a coaching practice grounded in the Enneagram and the iEQ9. I pair that with an MBA on the business side and credentials as an ICF-certified coach (ACC).
I don’t deliver leadership theory. I work the patterns that decide whether a capable person becomes the leader their team needs.
